We provide biotechnology produced by GRA&GREEN in various services.
Gene-editing joint research and development
We provide joint development utilizing gene-editing technology according to various needs and applications such as agriculture and forestry and raw materials for food processing.
We will provide comprehensive services from strategy formulation, implementation of gene editing, and data acquisition for notification to the government office.

Joint development flow (example)

We can make proposals that include conventional crossbreeding and cutting-edge biotech technology, depending on the purpose. Please contact us first for consultation regarding collaboration.
CONTACT

Original seedling development
We are developing new crop varieties by exploring and multiplying genetic resources that have not been fully utilized.
We are also paying attention to crops that have not been targeted for breeding until now and crop traits that are suitable for the new cultivation system.
By cooperating with farmers, we are also building an optimal cultivation system.
Development Platform
A new breeding platform that enables rapid seed/seedling development
Traditionally, developing a new crop variety requires a long time. GRA&GREEN will accelerate the R&D processes using proprietary gene-editing technology and iPAG.

Breeding at the farm
GRA&GREEN will provide the best optimal crop for the environment by on-site consultation. We breed to bridge the gap between customer needs and existing variety limits.
Case of breeding (Perilla frutescens)
Perilla oil contains a large amount of α-linolenic acid, a vegetable omega-3 fatty acid, and is attracting attention as a healthy oil. However, the Perilla has not been bred, and the yield is very low.

At GRA&GREEN, we uniquely identify the characteristics for increasing crop yield and determine the genes to be targeted by analyzing the genomic information. Currently, we are improving varieties in collaboration with farmers, and we are also establishing a large-scale cultivation system with farmers in parallel with breeding.
